WB Games boss hints at Hogwarts Legacy 2

It seems that Warner Bros. is considering developing Hogwarts Legacy 2, the sequel to the famous Harry Potter novel. In an interview after the launch, the company's president, David Haddad, revealed that the game, released just a few days ago, managed to attract players to play it for more than 267 million hours.

Speaking to Variety, he hinted blacksmith to the game's continuation, saying that WB Games considers Hogwarts Legacy to be a long-term franchise. He said he is very happy with the initial release and hopes for a bright future for the game when it is released on other platforms.

Haddad went on to say that the fan reception to Hogwarts Legacy reaffirms WB Games' commitment to building on its iconic franchises when developing future AAA games. He said the player engagement with Hogwarts Legacy has been "incredible."

The game has seen strong growth, with players planting 393 million plants since the game’s launch and brewing 242 million potions. They’ve also defeated 1.25 billion Dark Wizards. Fandom, a company that hosts entertainment wikis, told Variety that Hogwarts Legacy has generated more fan interest than ever before for such titles in the Harry Potter universe. Page views generated by the game have increased by 39% in just five days.
