Everyone remembers what it was like when Cyberpunk 2077 launched almost four years ago. It was riddled with technical issues and took almost three years to fix, but what's the game's fate now?
The CD Projekt Red team confirmed on more than one occasion last year that it would stop supporting the Cyberpunk 2077 game, especially after it reached a satisfactory stage for players and developers in several aspects, the most important of which were graphics, animation and gameplay.
According to the team's financial results, there are currently no developers at CD Projekt Red working on the game, and this indicates that all developers have moved on to work on upcoming projects, the most important of which are Project Orion, Polaris, and more.
The team is currently splitting to work on two projects, as the chart below reveals. Previous sources have confirmed that the team will release at least one project on the current generation, and it's likely that the remaining projects the team is working on will be delayed for release on the next generation.
The Cyberpunk 2077 team had 17 developers in February, after which developers were reassigned to work on new projects. With the release of the game's final and only expansion, Phantom Liberty, the team revealed that the game is now as it should be, as it was accompanied by the release of the game's latest update, update 2.00, which improved its performance and stability for the last time.
We've noticed that Night City still holds many secrets that no one has yet discovered, as confirmed by the development team. Do you think an official announcement of any of the team's new projects will happen this year?
