Bethesda confirmed through director Todd Howard Through the last interview conducted with him, they said that they will not develop the next part of the Fallout series, the company wants to be patient and not exploit the good reputation of the series.

Game Director at Bethesda Todd Howard He recently gave an interview to the MrMattyPlays YouTube channel and talked about many of the company's plans and some strategies. He stated that the recent Fallout TV series contributed to the series' popularity and that it is wrong to misuse the series' reputation now and continued:

“Fallout was not very popular before the series launched, which contributed to the series’ sales increasing significantly. “We at Bethesda are ready to take the necessary time in developing the next installment of the series with the goal of doing it right and without rushing.”

Full Howard Saying that like other games in the series in the future, he can't talk about them right now, but they need to learn from Fallout76's mistakes. He continued:

“We don’t feel like we need to rush into any of this. Right now, Fallout TV occupies a certain niche in terms of franchise and storytelling. I’m totally looking forward to a new mainline single-player game, but these things take time. We just want to do it right and make sure that whatever we do in a series, whether it’s Elder Scrolls or Fallout or now Starfield, those moments feel meaningful to everyone who loves these titles as much as we do.”

It's good to know that Bethesda thinks this way, because what matters is not the quantity of titles released, but the quality.
