With the success of Overwatch 2 last month, it appears there are some obstacles in the way of the new update due to what the developer claims is a critical issue preventing the mid-season update from being released.
The update was supposed to go live last night, but at the last minute Blizzard canceled the update and due to this critical cancellation, Mei is still unplayable. “Today’s update has been delayed because we are working on a critical issue,” reads the official report on Blizzard’s blog.
Further in the report, the company added that the Overwatch 2 update is scheduled for Thursday, November 17 at 8 PM KSA time, and the update will focus on Zarya and Sombra to fix some of the issues with one of them during combat, which many players noted was “difficult to play as Zarya in her current form.”
According to the latest investor report, Overwatch 2 is on track to continue its seasonal content updates, adding new heroes, maps, and game modes. Paula can forget about the long-awaited PvE mode that is scheduled to release in 2023. Rammatra was revealed in Season 2, although no maps were revealed. New but new, the developers of Overwatch 2 have shown consistency in updates in the first month after launch.
If you want to try out the new update… the game is available to play for free worldwide across devices for all players on Windows PC, via Battle.net, and on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
