We were very excited about the release of the third-person shooter Wanted: Dead, developed by the veterans of the development studio Team Ninja, who joined forces to create a new studio called Soleil and published by 110 Industries.
Today, Wanted: Dead officially launched on all major devices, and we were very surprised by the game's reviews from critics around the world, as it received average ratings. 58 of 100 On Metacritic, it's a pretty low rating for a promising game of $ 60. Although its average reviews 61 of 100 On the Opencritic website.
These disappointing reviews will certainly make players reluctant to try the game, and in turn, we will work hard to issue a review of the game soon, and until then, we will work to cover the game news and player reactions that are much more important to us.
What got us most excited about the game was its take on the hack-and-slash gameplay style, inspired by many games, as well as hugely popular titles like Bayonetta and Devil May Cry. The closest thing to it is Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which has similar combat mechanics.
In one of the previous long presentations highlighting the gameplay, we had a note about the game and hoped the developer would work on it more, and this is what happened.
Despite what we've seen of the various combat mechanics and quick-fire abilities that can be implemented, the game still needs further refinement, both in terms of AI improvements and in terms of graphical quality better suited to exploit the capabilities of next-gen devices.
