Do you remember the PlayStation Vita? That portable device that surprised us with its elegant design, touchscreen and diverse library of Sony games?
Among all the platforms that Sony has produced throughout its history is the PlayStation Vita handheld device, which did not sell well, and was the conclusion of portable device projects for Sony, andOver time, the production of the device was discontinued and its reputation faded, but our memories of it are still alive, but we take you back to that time and present 5 exclusive games that deserve attention and highlighted again.
Killzone: Mercenary
Guerrilla Games' Killzone Mercenary received good reviews from critics, but it's generally the least popular game in the series and nowhere near as popular as the main installments, although it proved to be one of the most visually impressive games on the PlayStation Vita and proved to be... Enjoyable thanks to its multiplayer mode.
Wars for Freedom
Japan Studio, which was shut down by Sony some time ago, had its most popular game on the PS Vita, which was Freedom Warsan, an action RPG game released in 2014, but unfortunately it was released largely silently and therefore little. Gamers remember it, but at least it is worth rediscovering.
Silent Hill: Book of Memories
The PS Vita platform had its own exclusive Silent Hill series, despite its profound difference from the series' standards. The game is not a horror game like the rest of the series, but it does have some great RPG elements. The game comes from developer Wayforward, who was the only one who adopted bold ideas in their game. However, the radical change in gameplay, level design and atmosphere compared to other games in the series did not convince critics and audiences, and so the title Book of Memories was lost among other forgotten games on the platform.
Unit 13, one of the first PS Vita games
In addition to being one of the first games on the platform, Unit 13 also marked the end of the American studio Zipper Interactive, known for the SOCOM series, which closed its doors shortly after the game's release. There were criticisms due to the gameplay in terms of controls and the mediocre artificial intelligence of the enemies, so not many people liked the game, but it's worth trying.
Soul sacrifice
Here we have one of the best PS Vita exclusives. Soul Sacrifice has proven to be an engaging action/RPG game, with an attractive atmosphere and original mechanics, challenging enough to provide hours of fun. The game was released in 2013 with an updated version titled Soul Sacrifice Delta. It was released a year later, but the series has remained on the mobile platform until now.
