Funcom has revealed a new story trailer for Dune: Awakening, as the developer revealed that the game will tell a “what if” story about… Paul Atreides Who was never born!
While the release date for the new Dune game hasn't been set yet, we can expect it to simply not arrive this year, but what's exciting is that there's a new gameplay trailer coming to Gamescom this year.
The world that emerges from this hypothetical fantasy is where we, as players, enter, and it's a great way to approach the story. A game that allows players to continue interacting with iconic things without being completely tied to the story we all know and love, whether from the novel or the film.
Dune: Awakening combines the grit and creativity of survival games to create a unique and ambitious MMO with a unique open world, where you can go from survival to mastery of Arrakis, shared by thousands of players. Dune: Awakening is set on Arrakis and is inspired by Frank Herbert's novels and the Oscar-winning film by Denis Villeneuve, all of which provide fertile ground for the next title.
Dune: Awakening does not yet have a specific release date and will be released on PS5, Xbox Series
