Steam Mobile App Gets New UI, QR Code Login, and Improved Library Management – Android and iOS Update Available

Valve has updated the Steam mobile app for Android and iOS, and it's very different (in a good way) from the previous version. In addition to the new interface, it offers improved Steam login options.
The app lets you view your entire game library in a grid that displays game covers and titles, which can be sorted using filters. By controlling Steam from your smartphone, games can be added, downloaded, and updated on your computer, while also receiving notifications about sales, friend requests, and more.
A QR code login option has been added, eliminating the need to enter a username, password, or Steam Guard code. When logging in with a QR code, Steam displays a confirmation page along with a map and the device's geolocation. You will then be prompted to confirm that you are actually logged into your account.
Confirming your login without using your camera will bypass the Steam Guard code entry, but will require a username and password. The app will display a list of authorized devices, which will allow you to log out of Steam remotely if you're logged into your account on someone else's PC. You can also find out when the account was last used or revoke access altogether.
Steam is also working on introducing QR code login for Steam Deck and an update to the chat app. The update fixes a number of bugs and will be available on Android today (iOS – a little later).
