Outright Games, a leading publisher of interactive entertainment for the entire family, today announced Transformers: EarthSpark – Expedition, a new action-packed single-player game developed in partnership with Hasbro.

This is the first game based on the original Transformers: EarthSpark anime series that premiered in November 2022. It will introduce a whole new generation of video game fans to a whole new generation of Earth Transformers robots when it launches later this year on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK – Expedition puts fans behind the wheel of hero Bumblebee as he drifts, drives and fights his way through a new yet familiar world. The game aims to recreate the setting and feel of the groundbreaking anime series, as Bumblebee embarks on his own adventure to face a mysterious threat from his past and stop the series’ villain, Dr. Meridian, aka “Mandroid,” from acquiring missing pieces of ancient technology.

As part of this action-packed journey, players will discover three massive biomes and complete missions from their Earthling allies, the first Transformers robots to ever spawn on Earth, and new original characters from the TV series. To complete his mission, Bumblebee will also fight alongside fan-favorite TRANSFORMERS robots including Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Skullcruncher, Nova Storm and Skywarp.

Deep levels of exploration and combat reward players for completing multiple finishers in the game while unlocking a variety of upgrades and abilities that allow players to access previous locations and discover secrets in previously inaccessible areas. Unleash your abilities to take down Decepticons with incredible finishing attacks, and customize Bumblebee by choosing from a variety of telekinetic power-up paths when in vehicle mode.

The game is designed to be accessible to fans of all ages, with detailed analysis of different scenarios allowing freedom of exploration, text readability, control settings and difficulty curves ensuring that it is playable by younger players. Variable difficulty options are included to allow players to play according to individual skill, along with mechanics that ease the difficulty of combat, such as directional prompts to help players more easily identify incoming threats.

Also included is a steering assist system that provides an easier control system in car mode, as well as the option to enable an automatic camera so players can focus all their attention on exploring, driving and fighting enemies.

Outright Games CEO Beth Goss said: “We are very excited to be working with our long-term licensing partner. hasbro “Once again, a Transformers title that pushes the boundaries of what video games can bring to a long-running and hugely popular franchise. They’ve done a great job of refreshing and reinventing what Transformers means to a new generation through blockbuster TV series and movies, and working with the best partners on streaming platforms. We’re excited to bring our expertise to the table and help complement this strategy by creating video games for younger audiences.”

Transformers began life as a line of action figures in 1984 and has continued to portray the epic battle between the Autobots and Decepticons in films, television shows, comic books, innovative toys and digital media. The business is a global force spanning generations that has produced more than 10 films and countless video games, becoming a household name around the world.

TRANSFORMERS: EARTHSPARK – Expedition will be available in late 2023 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
