Square Enix typically releases beta versions of its games shortly before their release. And it appears the game will continue with the same strategy for Final Fantasy 16, according to statements from the game's producer.

Producer Naoki Yoshida said in an interview with Famitsu that the Final Fantasy 16 beta will launch two weeks before the game's release. That means mid-June, and we also learned that it will allow players to experience the beginning of the story and allow players to transfer their data to the full game and continue playing where they left off in the beta.

Additionally, according to the producer, the game will contain 11 hours of cinematics, as these scenes will be part of the game's main story and setting. Naoki stated:

"The only thing that was important to us, however, was telling the entire story from beginning to end, and at that point, we felt we had achieved that. To facilitate this, there are over 11 hours of cutscenes in the main story, all integrated into the game experience.

Director Hiroshi Takai previously confirmed that the story will take around 35 to 40 hours to complete. This means that 11 hours of cutscenes are sufficient, however, a lot of side content is also included, which should increase the game's playability to around 70 hours or more.
