Of course now all developers and publishers publish all financial reports about game sales, including developer Remedy with its latest financial report and it was a very good opportunity for it to give new details about its upcoming project Alan Wake 2 for which we haven't seen any gameplay analysis yet.
In the financial report, CEO Tero Vertalla said that the development of the sequel is going well. In fact, the title Alan Wake 2 has reached a very stable stage and can be played from start to finish. The game is now in full production and everything will be in place, be it the order of the missions, the story events and other things. And since “Alan Wake” is a very important brand for the developer, they are striving to make the experience completely polished.
The director gave Alan Wake 2 top marks because the remastering of the first game was something that didn't live up to the studio's expectations and the brand could do more.
We don't know how long we'll remain in the anticipation zone for this game, but we believe with these words that there isn't much left until we see more exciting details and, most importantly, a complete gameplay overhaul.
The game will be a “new type” of game that pushes the player as far away from the horror side as possible and that fits perfectly with its description of its story as brutal and massive.
In turn, writer Clay Murphy added that the story's writers used the “keytar method of writing,” and this approach allows them to complete their arduous task very quickly.
Previously, a set of new artistic images of the game were revealed, which you can see here, which really show us the horror element in it, and we mentioned that it will be a project dedicated only to the current generation.
Despite the silence about the game.. Alan Wake 2 will be released this year for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store. The title is funded by Epic Games and the game is more of a horror game compared to the first game. In terms of size, the developer described the story as huge, with more pages written for the setting than any other game the developer has worked on.
