Ubisoft's Skull & Bones game has been hit with a lot of delays and negative news that it's unplayable. But the company came back today to reassure players and confirm that it has an improved version of the game that hasn't been reviewed yet.
As reported by PCGamer, during an investor meeting, an investment analyst asked how many units the upcoming pirate game Skull & Bones would need to ship to turn a profit… adding:
“I'm asking about the profit because I saw the reviews about the game, in my opinion the game looks solid.”
This was an extraordinarily bold comment during an investor meeting. He was not Ubisoft's CFO Frederick Doggett upset. And he replied:
“We said in January that we were very happy with the preview we saw of the game, so we have a very strong remaster to show players the power of the game that they haven’t seen yet. This version in question has not been shown before.”
Due to criticism of the game earlier, it was removed from the PlayStation Store and pre-orders were also canceled. Where players' money was refunded without warning or notice, and this angered many.
After that, Ubisoft reviewed the game with a video that lasted about 30 minutes, and it looked like a problem-free game. But immediately after that, reports that the game was unplayable were clarified.
Regarding the release date, the game has had many dates and all of them have been canceled. But Ubisoft has promised to provide a new date very soon, perhaps at the next E3 showing, as it has confirmed its presence in the version scheduled for June.
