It has been officially announced that the first season of The Last of Us will be released in its entirety on DVD and Blu-ray discs in 4K resolution this summer.

All nine episodes of the series will be in a single package in the highest definition on DVD and Blu-ray discs that will be available to the public from July 18 (7) of this year, 2023.

The disc version of The Last of Us series will be provided in the form of 3 different packages, according to the user's choice, with varying prices as follows:

• 4K Ultra HD version for US$ 50.
• Blu-ray copy for US$ 45.
• DVD copy for US$ 40.

Meanwhile, the Amazon store has already started offering all three versions for pre-order, but it was noted that there is a distinct metal casing dedicated to the 4K Ultra HD version. So far, we don't know if this offer is only available on the Amazon store or will be available in all stores.

Additionally, in addition to the nine episodes of the series that will be included in the physical version, there will be additional visual content on these discs, described below:

All these celebrations of the success of The Last of Us are not comparable to the announcement of the second season, which is expected to begin filming its scenes before the end of this year.

From what we know, the second season may not be enough to cover the events of the second part of the game. Therefore, there may be hints that we will also have a third season that may be revealed later.
