EA has begun developing the next installment of the Battlefield series, which has been absent for almost two years in a row so far, but many sources have reported that the DICE team has created a dedicated team currently to work on the single-player phase in addition to leaking more details.
According to GamesIndustry's insider, DICE has set up a dedicated team to work on a fully linear Battlefield game. It appears that the company has decided to take a different tack with the next installment, following criticism of the current installment, which lacked a story phase.
Team DICE is one of three studios tasked with creating the future of the Battlefield shooter series. DICE has been tasked with focusing on the multiplayer aspect. While Ridgeline Games, the new team is led by Halo co-founder Marcus Leto Responsible for the single-player campaign. Meanwhile, another team, Ripple Effect, is creating a completely different Battlefield experience.
The twist here is that DICE is expanding its team to help Ridgeline Games create this single-player adventure. As for the leaks, it is said that the next installment will be called Battlefield 7 and also:
