The Witcher: Monster Slayer was first announced in August last year. Where many of us were expecting to enter a fantasy world filled with monsters, we were eager to experience it, especially fans of the original trilogy.
The Witcher Monster Slayer is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality role-playing game similar to Pokemon: GO coming to Android and iOS. The game will be developed and published by Spokko Studio, a member of the CD Projekt family.
But surprisingly, according to what was reported by the VGC website, support for the game will be permanently discontinued, and the reason behind this is that the development team is focused on its main work in developing headline titles for consoles and PC platforms. It will simultaneously continue its mobile game projects by collaborating with third-party studios.
Monster Slayer is expected to be removed from digital mobile storefronts on January 31, 2023. It will begin disabling access to the game for all players on June 30 next year. Where the game's developer, Spokko Studio, is expected to merge with the rest of the company's studios to work on the rest of the publisher's titles.
More about the game:
In case you haven’t heard of it before, The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a free-to-play augmented reality RPG developed and published by Spokko Studio. The game offers the same atmosphere as the famous series, whether in games or even in the Netflix TV series, and the monster designs are really cool, especially on mobile. It’s also close to The Witcher 3, which is definitely cool. The storytelling art style is also beautiful and comical, and the interaction with the world is really good.
