Recently, we learned that Resident Evil 4 will receive the first update of the day, which will be 4GB in size, and Capcom has started providing the update for download several days before the game's release.

Unfortunately, Capcom hasn't revealed the details of what's in this update, which some believe will fix a few small, isolated issues to ensure the best gameplay experience for the game's March 24 launch.

However, through GameInformer's exclusive coverage of the game last month, a video showing gameplay footage of Leon Wash as they escaped the temple appeared, but what caught fans' attention the most was the intensity of the rain and its appearance, which looked really annoying.

The rain, which was dubbed “raingate” by fans at the time, quickly became the talk of everyone on social media platforms. Many expressed their annoyance at its appearance, with some even comparing it to the annoying rain bug that appeared in Rockstar’s recently remastered Grand Theft Auto 3.

Developers Capcom responded to this online controversy and promised to fix the issue, and through an exclusive interview with Hirabayashi Yoshiaki, the producer of Resident Evil 4 Remake, they said that they are interested in fixing this issue through the day one update.

We've seen everyone's reaction to the effects of the rain and are working on the Day One update to make adjustments.

Good news for those waiting for the game, but the best news is that critics have started receiving review copies of Resident Evil 4 Remake, including the VGA4A team, and we'll be sharing our full review of the game with you very soon.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake game will be released on new generation platforms and PC, in addition to the PlayStation 4 platform, exceptionally, on March 24th.
