Sony used to provide special copies of PlayStation devices, but there are some copies that were rare and did not reach the hands of users or may not have been intended for public release.
3 Rare PlayStation Devices You May Not Have Heard Of Before
In this report, we will talk about 3 versions of PlayStation devices that were released but did not reach everyone, and you may not have known about their existence before.
PlayStation 1 Net Yaroze
The first device is the PlayStation 1 in black, a special version called Net Yaroze, as it was not intended for regular users, but was intended for developers to test their games and tweak them to be problem-free when released. In other words, we can call it a Dev Kit just for developers.
It's worth noting here that this version was being sold to developers at a price 750 dollarsunlike the developer version of current generations, which is offered to developers for free, but there are often offers of exclusive content or something similar.
Playstation 3 Golden Ladder
This version of the precious PlayStation 3 was originally made of 24-karat gold, which is why it was called the 24K version. Only 5 copies were manufactured worldwide and were sold in the markets at a price of over $5,000 in some markets.
The high price of this special version and the small number of them manufactured made its appearance in global markets rare, and perhaps many of us were unaware of its existence in the first place.
PlayStation 4 The Last of Us Part 2 Edition
The most recent version of these different versions, as it was handcrafted and elaborated with many details that reflect the character of The Last of Us Part 2, as you can see in the image. This copy was manufactured in only two copies and they were presented as prizes in one of the contests.
These are 3 rare copies of PlayStation devices that many of us may not have heard of before, but they were already out there and some of them were sold for twice the price of the standard version.
The PlayStation brand has witnessed great and rapid growth since the launch of the first device in the family in 1994 until today, with the launch of the PlayStation 5, which still witnesses great demand and shortages in procurement due to this major event, as well as the lack of manufacturing resulting from the semiconductor shortage and global supply after the pandemic.
Did you know that there are some of these three versions of PlayStation before?
